Dalaas am Arlberg - A place to relax and unwind

Dalaas am Arlberg is a mediocre rural village with barely 1600 inhabitants and is located at 900 m a.s.l. in the Klostertal in Vorarlberg.

Rugged, steep peaks and deep green forests form the breathtaking backdrop in Dalaas at the Arlberg - and thus a skiing and hiking paradise that is an insider tip in the Alps. Because although the famous Arlberg towns of Lech and Zürs are only a few kilometers away, Dalaas on the Arlberg has retained its originality to this day and has not changed much over time. The traditions, typical trades and customs have been well preserved, thanks also to the reduced number of tourists.

For nature lovers, the village offers a truly unique landscape - dense forests, meadows and fields that are scattered on the many slopes, where you can still witness the well-known work of mountain farmers. In the 14th century, miners once looked for silver in this idyllic area, today the place is a successful mixture of traditional houses and courageous, alpine architecture, for which Vorarlberg is known.

In winter the place turns into a fairy-tale, white landscape and is only 14 km from the famous ski area “Ski Arlberg” and 5 km from the “Family Ski Area Sonnenkopf” and therefore offers the ideal winter holiday. The Klostertal has a reputation for being particularly snow reliable!

One of the buildings that are reminiscent of ancient traditions is the Klostertal Museum "Thöny Hof" in the neighboring forest on the Arlberg. The visitor should be given an insight into the history of the Klostertal and the people who lived here, without giving any impression of a "good old days". The lovingly furnished "Thöny-Hof" tells the exciting story of our Klostertal and is a varied offer for families and history lovers.

The peculiarity of this village are the natural and less intensively cultivated habitats and undisturbed retreats full of strength, beauty and energy. Dalaas at the Arlberg is unique in all its facets - enjoy the alpine landscape in summer and winter, let the beauty of nature sink in and recharge your batteries!
